Online Education Myths

Some people see online courses as a free pass to a degree and that minimal effort is required to get a passing grade. Those same people think that those with online educations can not compete with students taught in standard schools. This is all a myth since most online courses require weekly online meetings and discussions that are vital for success. Students not participating in these discussions will likely not get a passing grade. Another myth is that courses can be completed any time and anywhere. This is partially true since most instructors do what they can to accommodate schedules but again there are strict requirements for all courses online.
